QUALITY IN EDUCATION

Public Education Discussion Panel Series

PANEL DISCUSSION SERIES

The fourth annual iLearn Schools “Quality in Education Summit” panel discussion will be held at the Bergen ASCS Middle School campus in Garfield. This program provides the opportunity to invite parents, students, administrators, teachers, media representatives, elected officials, and the general public to experience iLearn Schools first-hand.

In order to continue promoting high-quality public education, iLearn Schools annually hosts a series of panel discussions highlighting the successes, challenges, and expectations of public education in New Jersey. This program is called the iLearn Schools’ “Quality in Education Summit.” The goal of this program is to bring together leaders in education from across New Jersey to add substantive thoughts and opinions to the pressing issues affecting our students. These forums will continue to address macro issues confronting public education in the 21st Century.

This years panel discussion is:

  • The Impact of Mandated Standardized Testing in New Jersey's Public Schools.

Past years panel discussions have included:

  • THE FUTURE OF PUBLIC EDUCATION IN NEW JERSEY
  • THE POLITICS OF PUBLIC EDUCATION
  • ATHLETICS, ARTS, AND MUSIC: THREE ELEMENTS NECESSARY FOR A COMPLETE PUBLIC EDUCATION

The panel consists of three to five participants and a moderator. Panel participants are chosen based upon their knowledge and influence  regarding the topic of focus, and may include representatives from the New Jersey Department of Education, the New Jersey Education Association, New Jersey Legislature, non‐profit education professionals, parent‐teacher associations and organizations, and education advocacy groups such as the New Jersey Charter Schools Association.
